Job Overview

TE Connectivity's IT Business Analysis Teams analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. They provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. They also configure system settings and options; plan and execute unit, integration and acceptance testing, create specifications for systems to meet business requirements and design details of automated systems. At times, TE's IT Business Analysis Teams may provide consultation to users in the area of automated systems and lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.

As a ServiceNow DevOps Engineer, you collaborate tightly with the other ServiceNow DevOps Engineers and the IT Business Analysts. Your job is the technical conception and practical implementation of solutions for our customers from different corporate segments. You are responsible for advanced designing, implementing, testing, documentation and deploying solutions using state-of-the-art, agile software engineering methods. The position requires experience in ServiceNow development and strong knowledge & experience in a broad range of technologies like Web Services and IT in general. You will be embedded within an international, remote working team responsible for the Strategy, Operations, and Development of the Enterprise Service Management platform.


• Support the development and configuration of a variety of areas of the ServiceNow platform, primarily in Sourcing and Procurement Operations (SPO), and its Integrations with a broad variety of Enterprise applications.

• Responsible for researching, planning, and delivering solutions as defined in the ServiceNow roadmap.

• Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand complex business problems and opportunities and independently execute all assignments.

• Establish and manage system integrations and automations in ServiceNow.

• Using SCRUM / Agile methodologies, design and develop/configure forms, workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs including advanced scripting.

• Create and configure Notifications, UI pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.

• Research and apply available ServiceNow hotfixes, patches, and upgrades while ensuring configurations and customizations function as expected.

• Offer technical solutions to address complex requirements. Evaluate alternate solutions, identify the best option, and implement the solution.

• Create technical architecture, design, and user guide documentation.

• Responsible for helping to grow and provide guidance to more junior developers.

Your ideal background:


• 10 years of IT experience with 3-5 years of experience as a key technical resource executing on design and development on the ServiceNow Platform.

• In-depth understanding of and experience working with Enterprise Service Management processes.

• In-depth knowledge of UI design and strong UI programming skills along with Service Portal configuration and Reporting and Analytics.

• Hands-on experience in implementing, configuring, and customizing Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, etc.).

• Proficient in integration of disparate systems using SOAP and REST APIs along with scripted Web services.

• Strong knowledge of Single Sign-On, LDAP, Mid Server, and automations using Integration Hub.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills - high standard of accuracy.

• Ability to multi-task across projects/initiatives and deliver according to time commitments.

Good experience with the following technologies/tools/processes:
a. ServiceNow Admin Certification / ServiceNow Implementation Certification preferred.
b. ITIL v3/V4 Foundations Certification.
c. TEOA (LEAN, Six Sigma) processes and tools.

Educational Required/Desired:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related discipline.
- Proficient written and verbal communications skills in English (CEFR C1). Additional language(s) are welcome.
- High capacity for autonomous work with accurate reporting and feedback to manager.
