Description:

We are looking for an experienced Database Analyst for the client of our Fintech portfolio, i.e.: one of the fastly growing financial organizations providing asset management for institutions to help them select their investment strategies.

The Bank is currently in the middle of a multi-year transformational programme of work to move their telephony services from Cisco to AWS Connect. This programme has a key objective of migrating 63% of users on to AWS Connect by the end of 2023 and the remaining estate by the end of 2024.
To enable business areas to migrate the programme needs to be able to provide key business insights via Niche skilled specialist for AWS Data & MI work. GL team is engaged to provide expertise to support the creation of the required reports in AWS, enhancements to existing dashboards as well as creation of the new dashboards as new teams migrate over to Connect.

It is a great chance to become a part of a distributed, cross-functional team based in Poland. This Project is a part of the Multi-Year Program Plan.

Requirements:

We're looking for a Senior Database Analyst with a hand on the following technologies:

  • Solid experience in AWS services such as AWS Athena, AWS Quicksight, AWS Glue, AWS Storage.
  • Good to have Snowflake.
  • Hands on Python, Terraform.
  • Strong experience in designing data models, structuring tables, and developing SQL queries.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and tools.
  • Good to have knowledge of Git commands.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills + Good level of English.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Define what is a customer within RBSI.
  • Understand the flow of data relating to our customers and platforms.
  • Define Best Practice for system entry and produce a gap analysis between best practice and current state.
  • Identify top 40 clients and analyse if their details / structure is correctly recorded in our systems (remediating along the way if required).
  • Model strategic customer reporting layer (in AWS or Snowflake) – this will enable the distribution of RBSI data into Natwest Group.
  • Build said layer and underlying pipelines to hydrate the layer for accurate reporting.
  • This part has already been somewhat built tactically so it is not quite a "from scratch" task.
