IGT's Casino Systems Architecture team is looking for a software architect to help guide the software architecture for our Casino Systems business, with a focus on deployment architecture. In this position, your day to day will include:

  1. Provide expert guidance, advice, and technical feasibility assessments during software development project inception and requirements gathering.
  2. Produce and review System Architecture Documents to ensure solutions meet project goals, internal technical standards and align with long-term strategic objectives.
  3. Leverage your deep knowledge of software engineering to create innovative products and services within required timeframes.
  4. Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Product Management, Engineering Leads, Services, and customers to refine and adjust architecture proposals and support key software development issues as they arise.
  5. Develop and maintain Advantage system deployment architecture materials.
  6. Evaluate new technologies applicable to the deployment of Advantage and conduct proof of concepts, as appropriate, to validate and demonstrate key architecture or technology proposals.
  7. Identify areas and technologies to improve the deployment of Advantage in the cloud (AWS, etc).
  8. Provide comprehensive support for development efforts, including reviewing technical designs and assisting in resolving critical issues.
What you need to bring
  1. Proven experience in solutions architecture and overall software architecture, or experience as a Lead Software Developer / Engineer, demonstrating leadership in designing and building complex software systems.
  2. Mastery of software development architectural principles, styles, design patterns, and anti-patterns.
  3. A strong understanding of application design principles and object-oriented design.
  4. Expertise in software technologies, with a preference for:
    1. C# / .NET
    2. Java
    3. TCP Network packets and network protocols
    4. Ansible
    5. Terraform
    6. Linux
    7. SQL
    8. Python
    9. Team collaboration software – Jira, Confluence
  5. Working knowledge of cloud-based technologies such as AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
  6. Minimum of 9 years of software development experience.
  7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  8. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
