Responsibilities
  • On-site work at the client's office in Sweden
  • Analysis of Dependent Failures (DFA)
  • Confidence in the Use of Software Tools with ISO 26262 requirements
  • Collaborate with customers to elicit, understand, and document functional safety requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals
  • Perform fault tree analysis (FTA) to identify and analyse potential causes of system failures, and develop strategies to mitigate risks
  • Develop and maintain the Functional Safety Concept (FSC), including the creation and management of Functional Safety Requirements
  • Conduct reviews of control plans to ensure they align with functional safety requirements and address potential safety risks effectively
  • Review Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) from a functional safety perspective to identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Define and document Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements related to functional safety to ensure compliance throughout the production lifecycle
  • Determine and document functional safety requirements that must be included in supplier agreements to ensure the safety of supplied components
  • Assess and review the applicability of Functional Safety Management (FSM) Process Assessment Document (PAD) in alignment with ISO 26262
  • Develop the Technical Safety Concept, including the creation and management of System Safety Requirements, ensuring that all safety goals are achieved at the system level.
  • Regularly analyse and review functional safety processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of safety procedures across projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in functional safety within the automotive industry, with a focus on ISO 26262
  • Strong knowledge of system-level safety analysis and methodologies, including DFA, FTA, and FMEA
  • Proven experience in developing Functional Safety Concepts and Technical Safety Concepts
  • Familiarity with software tools used in functional safety and experience in evaluating their confidence levels
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Certification in Functional Safety (e.g., ISO 26262) is mandatory
