For our Wrocław location, we are looking for you to join our team on a full-time basis for a limited period of time

Project Purchaser (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities:

• You will be a core team member in Pre-Series Project (PEP) projects, overseeing the entire purchasing process during the PEP phase and ensuring seamless coordination with all stakeholders.
• As the first point of contact in purchasing, you will handle various types of RFQs, including for existing products, similar products, new products, repeat calculations, prototypes, and aftersales, using the BOM Connector in SAP to determine the appropriate class for the project.
• You will participate actively in source board meetings and collaborate closely with strategic purchasing teams to select suppliers, define quality requirements, and develop second-source strategies for prototypes and series production.
• Managing technical discussions and negotiations, you will organize and lead concept competitions, sample part organization, and sample price negotiations with suppliers, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently.
• As part of your responsibilities, you will support strategic purchasing in supplier development for both prototypes and series production, drive design-to-cost activities, and ensure all SAP material master data is maintained correctly.

Your Qualifications:

• You hold a degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or Technical Business Administration, and you have managed purchasing volumes in the double-digit million range.
• Furthermore, you have over 7 years of professional experience in project and technical purchasing, supplier quality engineering (SQE), and supplier management, with a strong background in handling complex purchasing processes and a deep understanding of project purchasing dynamics.
• Your experience in the automotive sector, especially with a Tier 1 supplier, is highly advantageous, enabling you to navigate the complexities of automotive procurement and supplier relationships.
• Additional qualifications, such as Six Sigma Black Belt certification or training as an auditor, are a plus, alongside strong team collaboration skills, assertiveness, and excellent negotiation abilities.
• Fluent English is essential, and proficiency in other foreign languages is an advantage.
