Senior Game Designer (First-Person Adventure | Puzzle & Narrative)
Location: Remote | International Team
Employment: Full-Time / Long-Term
Who We Are
Beffio Studios is a creative game art and co-development studio working with game developers and entertainment partners around the world.
We bring together artistic vision, technical expertise, and creative problem-solving to build memorable interactive experiences. From early concept development to final in-engine implementation, we believe exceptional games emerge when creativity, technology, and gameplay work together.
Alongside our co-development partnerships, we are expanding our involvement in original game development, bringing our creative and technical expertise into the design of experiences players can genuinely connect with.
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Game Designer with exceptional creative instincts, a proven track record in successful game productions, and a passion for designing engaging, emotionally meaningful gameplay experiences.
You will help shape the creative foundations of an unannounced first-person adventure and puzzle game, defining the mechanics, interactions, and design principles that make players curious, invested, and eager to discover what happens next.
We believe great game design goes beyond interesting mechanics or clever puzzles. It is about understanding what players feel, what motivates them to explore, how they connect with characters and stories, and how seemingly simple interactions can create unforgettable moments.
In this role, you will work closely with creative leadership, artists, and developers to transform early ideas into a cohesive gameplay vision, from initial design documents and mechanic exploration through playable prototypes and iteration.
This is a senior, hands-on creative role for someone who combines imaginative thinking with structured design methodology, strong player empathy, and the ability to turn compelling ideas into meaningful interactive experiences.

- Explore ways to connect puzzle mechanics with storytelling, emotional tension, and player motivation.
- Refine difficulty, pacing, and feedback through structured playtesting and iteration.
Narrative & Emotional Game Design
- Collaborate on narrative structure, emotional pacing, character interactions, and player-driven storytelling.
- Explore how gameplay mechanics can strengthen the emotional connection between players, characters, and the world.
- Design meaningful interactions that communicate emotion, personality, and narrative without relying entirely on dialogue or exposition.
- Develop storytelling opportunities through environmental details, discovery, player agency, and interactive moments.
- Help establish a cohesive emotional journey in which gameplay, narrative, and atmosphere reinforce one another.
Game Design Documentation & Creative Exploration
- Create and maintain clear, structured Game Design Documents (GDDs), mechanic specifications, interaction diagrams, and player experience flows.
- Develop multiple design approaches through written concepts, sketches, diagrams, and early mechanic exploration.
- Define gameplay rules, interactions, progression logic, and expected player behaviors.
- Communicate complex design ideas in ways that artists, developers, and other team members can easily understand and implement.
- Translate creative discussions into actionable design proposals with clear priorities and production r
