The Dean of the Faculty of Biology of the University of Warsaw invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor Reference No. WB-K-3/2025.

Key requirements:
The competition is open to individuals who meet the conditions specified in Article 113 of the Act on Higher Education and Science of July 20, 2018, as amended (Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1571).

Additional requirements:

1. PhD degree in biology or a related field;
2. Scientific achievements confirmed by publications in international journals from the JCR list;
3. Knowledge of next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques, particularly experience in RNA sequencing analysis;
4. Ability to work in the command line in Linux operating systems and good knowledge of at least one programming language, such as R or Python;
5. Experience in association analyses (GWAS), metabolomics, and population genetics will be an additional asset;
6. Experience working with plants and a category B driving license are welcome;
7. Fluent English;
8. Ability to conduct independent research and strong motivation to expand skills in bioinformatics;

Salary: Around 8500 PLN gross/month
Period of employment: 6 months, and after a positive evaluation of achievements before the end of the employment period – for 4 years
