Job Description

The Imagery Ingestion and Processing Specialist is responsible for the assessment, pre-processing, pipeline ushering, post processing, and modification of both first- and third-party, 2D and 3D aerial/satellite/drone imageries and derivative products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis: Process and analyze global scale raster datasets to recognize trends and potential problem areas.
  • Quality Monitoring: Monitor daily production and quality of data sets to ensure they meet project goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional groups to ensure data flows through the pipeline to production.
  • Operations Planning: Plan and execute daily operations to ensure project goals are met.
  • Process Improvement: Interface with engineering teams to continually improve and automate overall operations process and technical knowledge.
  • Documentation: Maintain process documentation and recommend improvements by way of feature requests to engineering teams.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience in the Geospatial industry.
  • Education: High school graduate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent in GIS/Geospatial/Remote Sensing.
  • Skills: Hands-on experience with one or more GIS software like ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS, or equivalent; expertise in one or more 3D Modelling packages like SketchUp, Maya, 3D Max, Blender, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Open Source image editing software - GIMP.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with SQL, creating and styling thematic maps, exposure to Photogrammetry technology and software, technological savviness for geospatial products and services.
