Functional Consultant, S4 QM

Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.

You will work on
  1. Contribution to implementation project activities
  2. Translate business requirements to technical solutions
  3. Oversees the development of new functionality
  4. Creates Process Design Documents and Functional Design Documents (under supervision of the Stream Solution Architect)
  5. Configures the system
  6. Performs and supports test cycles to ensure the final product satisfies the defined requirements
  7. Provides training to key users
  8. Supports the creation of the cut-over plan and executes the plan
  9. Provides Hyper-Care support for the predefined period
  10. Resolves defects
  11. Creates and updates relevant project documentation
  12. Provides the 3rd level support
  13. Supports Data Migration processes (provides functional documentation, provides input to data mapping sessions, resolves defects, assists in the data load validation)
  14. Works under the supervision of the Team Lead (task management) and the Stream Solution Architect (solution management)

Your qualifications and skills
  1. Five years plus working with SAP or variant in a hands-on project environment
  2. Experience in enterprise-level SAP projects using waterfall methodology throughout the whole life cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
  3. Expert level understanding of the SAP product suite
  4. Extensive experience with SAP configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls
  5. Experience defining business requirements, writing functional design documentation
  6. Expert level experience of SAP modules and underlying architecture, design
  7. Experience in designing SAP software components
  8. Experience integrating SAP with different business systems, as well as working with integration tools
  9. Expert level understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies
  10. Experience in greenfield, brownfield, and rollout projects, project phases, SAP Activate and Agile project methodologies
  11. Experience in manufacturing industries, preferably metal and/or automotive
  12. College or University (IT /Business Degree or Equivalent)
  13. Strong spoken and written English
  14. Expert SAP knowledge
  15. Customizing knowledge
  16. ABAP Debug experience
  17. Integration understanding (iDocs, EDI messages)
  18. Skilled Office 365 user
  19. Strong oral and written communication skills
  20. Team player
  21. Able to travel up to 30%
  22. Driving license
