Project Engineer - Reciprocating Compressors

Location: Poland, Lodzkie, Lodz (Remote vs. Office Hybrid)

A Snapshot of Your Day:

As a Project Engineer, you will be the project technical lead for rotating machinery projects, leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team from sales handover through project execution, installation, and commissioning phases.

How You'll Make an Impact:

  1. Lead complete technical scope for supply of new packaged rotating equipment for reciprocating compressor trains and extended plant scope.
  2. Working with suppliers, select auxiliary components including motors, consoles, coolers, scrubbers, instrumentation, wiring, valves, etc.
  3. Provide remote and in-person technical support and guidance of equipment suppliers and packagers.
  4. Support development of approved vendor list in EU and packagers in Europe.
  5. Understand and apply technical specifications of the European Union and tangential locations (e.g., ATEX, PED, CE).
  6. Support Project Manager to address technical concerns with internal and external clients.
  7. Work with global technical project teams of multi-discipline engineers, designers, and suppliers.
  8. Handle Engineering schedule, including on-time release of equipment specifications, bills of material, and customer documentation.
  9. Lead all technical contract requirements on assigned projects to deliver on targets and objectives, including certifications and compliance to all applicable standards.
  10. Provide engineering support during proposal, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning, and operation.
  11. Support team with detailed design decisions to meet contract requirements, such as overall system control philosophies and main equipment specification.
  12. Perform technical risk management.
  13. Conduct detailed review of contract requirements and specifications and translate these to the project team.
  14. Perform design analyses; calculations including compressor performance, torsional analyses, and other reciprocating compressor focused areas.
  15. Develop project documentation including P&IDs, project specifications, and equipment lists.
  16. Direct interaction with client-facing team and client to support the technical development of proposals and solutions to meet client requirements.
  17. Domestic and International travel required to site, customer interfacing, which may be in remote locations.

What You Bring:

  1. Minimum bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an engineering related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in design, packaging, or operation of rotating equipment.
  3. Ability to travel in support of project execution, primarily in Europe.
  4. Ability to lead a small team and give general direction to others.
  5. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a distributed team.
  7. Proficient in English.
  8. Ability to show initiative and self-motivation to learn new things.
