We're looking for an ambitious ABAP Developer to join our Customer IT organization, with offices in Katowice, Gliwice, Berlin and Hamburg.

The Challenge

If you love untangling the complexity of specific SAP products like the industry solution SAP IS-U, are eager to expand your university-acquired SAP expertise, and are up for the challenge of optimizing processes in specific SAP modules through ABAP development, we have the perfect opportunity for you.

What will you do?

As an ABAP Developer, you'll play a crucial role in the energy industry, working in an environment that's rapidly evolving due to technological innovations and legislative changes.

Depending on your area of interest, you may choose to specialize in one of the following domains:

• Market Communication: You'll be responsible for analyzing and implementing relevant market-specific processes and legal requirements of the German market. This includes managing suppliers' exchange processes, developing ABAP programs, and creating SAP Business Workflows. You'll also customize SAP IS-U (e.g., IDE - Intercompany Data Exchange), troubleshoot, maintain implemented solutions based on service-level agreements, and provide proactive technical and functional adjustment advice to our customers.
• Billing and Accounting: Here, you'll focus on analyzing and implementing German market-specific processes and legal requirements in Accounting and Billing. Your tasks will include developing ABAP programs, customizing SAP IS-U (e.g., Tarification), troubleshooting, maintaining implemented solutions, and offering proactive consultancy on technical and functional adjustments to our customers.
• Receivables Management: In this area, you'll contribute to Vattenfall's digital transformation by connecting our SAP IS-U components (Dunning and Account Management - bookings, balancing, invoices, and installments) with our Microsoft Azure Cloud, creating a better user experience. You'll also analyze business processes with a focus on Receivables Management, payment transactions / SEPA, ensuring correct data transmission to connected subsystems like Treasury, FI (also SAP), our cash machines or for field service control.

As part of the international DevOps team, you'll be involved in every aspect of the solution lifecycle - from advising our customers, creating solution concepts, developing in ABAP, to realizing requirements in SAP IS-U Customizing for troubleshooting or further development. No matter which area you choose to focus on, as an ABAP Developer in SAP IS-U, you'll be part of a team working in an exciting, rapidly developing industry, covering the full range of solution development, testing, and implementation.

Who are you?

You're an ambitious developer ready to delve deeper into SAP systems. You're open to learning new SAP technologies and are eager to create complex, technical, and market-specific programs in SAP IS-U. You've been studying SAP systems as part of your 'business applications' focus and are excited about using your skills to contribute to a cleaner energy future.

As our ABAP Developer you will bring...

• Eagerness to gain practical experience with ABAP-OO programming and the SAP Business Workflow in SAP IS-U
• Excellent command (written/spoken) of German as you will frequently interact with your German peers
• Interest in and knowledge of the latest developments in the deregulated German energy market
• Good to have: prior experience with MS Visio, S4/HANA, S4/Utilities
