YOUR TASKS- Collaborate with architects, subject matter experts, solution designers and engineers, both at Capgemini and on the client side.
- Install, configure and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) such as MSSQL and PostgreSQL.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes and relationships to efficiently support the organisation's data storage and retrieval needs.
- Work on optimising database performance i.e.: fine-tuning Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases for efficiency, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing best practices to ensure optimal system responsiveness.
- Commercial experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with database security, backup and recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Deep knowledge of the maintenance and administration aspects of database systems.
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and database query optimization.
- Knowledge of database architecture, design, and performance tuning techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and French both spoken and written.
