Role:

If so, Splunk is looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the App Hosting team building the next generation marketplace. You will have a significant influence on the evolution of a product that we are working on which will change the landscape of how developers build, validate, manage, and install applications that thousands of customers can use to interact with their machine data. Specifically, you will be responsible for contributing to the engineering efforts that empower the platform to provide a robust ecosystem that allows Splunk customers to discover, build and use a rich set of community and Splunk-built applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the design, implementation and delivery of long-term impact software in accordance with given requirements and existing system architecture.
  2. Maintain existing technology stack and debug and fix issues.
  3. Work closely with product management, architects and the team to build exciting features, reusable components and products.
  4. Create, enhance and encourage robust test suites for all code, because you recognize the value of automated testing and continuous integration.
  5. Integrate metrics and service level indicators into features you build so that you can monitor, improve, and scale out services horizontally.
  6. Lead code reviews of the product, and use your knowledge of customers' experiences to dedicatedly prevent future problems.
  7. Follow SDLC process in Agile methodology.
Requirements:
  1. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including large-scale SaaS application development.
  2. Proficiency with Python in a production environment.
  3. Background includes working with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technologies.
  4. Expertise developing and working with thoughtfully designed REST APIs and SDKs.
  5. Good knowledge of data modeling and storage with NoSQL and RDBMS.
  6. Familiar with at least one auth and identity protocol such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or SAML.
  7. Strong communication and comprehension skills, both verbal and written.
