We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Application Security Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining API platform solutions and application security measures. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, operational stability, and security of the IT solutions while ensuring compliance with best practices for API management and application security.

Key responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain the API platform, ensuring that security best practices are incorporated at every stage of the lifecycle.
Develop, implement, and manage security solutions to protect applications, including secure coding practices, encryption protocols, and threat mitigation strategies.
Develop tools and procedures for monitoring, logging, and improving the deployment and performance of both the API platform and security solutions.
Prepare clear documentation for implemented API security solutions and provide guidance and support for the organization in their effective use.
Ensure the operational stability, scalability, and performance of all IT solutions, focusing on security, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with development teams following Agile methodologies to ensure security is built into applications from the ground up.
Leverage various security tools and technologies to manage and monitor certificate lifecycle, secure protocols, and encryption.

We are happy to hear from you if you have:

Hands-on experience with IBM API Management Platform and strong familiarity with Linux and Python scripting.
Proficiency with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD for managing containerized environments.
Java programming skills for developing secure applications and services.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with application security and security tools (e.g., certificate lifecycle management, encryption protocols, secure communication).
Experience or familiarity with API lifecycle management to ensure secure and optimized delivery and integration of APIs.
Strong background in IT/software engineering, with a focus on security integration throughout the software development lifecycle.
Experience working in Agile development environments, contributing to iterative, collaborative, and secure application development.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to designing and implementing security solutions.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with teams and document solutions.
