Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Control Manager to join their Finance ESG Change team in Krakow, Poland. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a strong risk and control background to play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of robust controls for ESG and Sustainable Finance initiatives within the Global Finance function.

Position Overview

As a Senior Control Manager, you will be responsible for driving the development, review, and agreement of required control changes for ESG and Sustainable Finance initiatives that impact Global Finance processes. This critical role involves defining robust controls, performing risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to the organisation's control framework. You will work closely with various stakeholders to elicit control requirements, develop delivery plans, and monitor key milestones to ensure the successful implementation of ESG processes within Global Finance.

Responsibilities
  1. Drive the development, review, and agreement of required control changes for ESG and Sustainable Finance initiatives impacting Global Finance processes.
  2. Elicit control requirements based on to-be system architecture and operating model.
  3. Define robust controls in adherence to the organisation's control framework, including designing new controls or uplifting existing controls.
  4. Develop and implement a robust delivery plan and approach for the Controls workstream within ESG FCD.
  5. Perform risk and control assessments on ESG processes at various stages of project delivery.
  6. Conduct Non-Financial Risk (NFR) assessments on ESG and Sustainable Finance initiatives managed by the ESG FCD team.
  7. Contribute to programme testing approach and documents.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  2. Strong risk and control background and work experience, preferably in a leading accounting firm or financial services sector.
  3. Experience in managing, overseeing, and applying controls across a Finance function, including those underpinning NFR and operational risk management frameworks.
  4. Proven track record of designing and implementing new processes and controls to mitigate non-financial risks.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  6. Knowledge and experience with change management is highly valued.
  7. Good knowledge of Finance systems architecture, strategy delivery, and data model, especially Finance Cloud platform.
  8. Experience in leading, managing, and developing teams.
