Currently, we are seeking a talented and experienced Senior/Staff Software Engineer in Data Science to join our team

As the "Senior/Staff Software Engineer in Data Science, SMB Advertising", you will drive the optimization efforts across our TV and Connected TV advertising platforms. You will play an instrumental part in improving attribution models, optimizing ad delivery strategies, enhancing machine learning relevancy scoring algorithms, and improving the performance of TV/CTV advertising that drives discovery, relevancy, and sales.

Key responsibilities for this role will be:

  1. Develop and implement advanced data models and algorithms to optimize TV/CTV delivery and attribution, including relevance and ranking, and multi-touch/cross-channel attribution.
  2. Build predictive models to forecast user behavior and campaign outcomes, demonstrating machine learning techniques such as regression, classification, and clustering.
  3. Design and implement data models and innovative algorithms on high-dimensional, fast-paced, unstructured, and structured data.
  4. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft and implement experiments aimed at improving advertising delivery and relevancy scoring and ROAS.
  5. Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to TV/CTV advertising performance.
  6. Apply advanced statistical methods to evaluate the efficiency of advertising campaigns and recommendations.
  7. Develop methodologies to monitor and visualize advertising performance metrics, providing actionable insights to partners.
  8. Run large-scale statistical A/B testing to evaluate performance of machine learning and statistical models in advertising applications.
  9. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in TV and CTV advertising, applying new methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

  6. The majority of business clients are located in NY or London.
  7. Every project is run based on Agile principles using Scrum/Kanban.

We are looking for Engineers that:

  6. Easily and openly communicate in English.

And on the technical side, we need:

  1. Master's degree or equivalent experience or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience (5+ years) working as a Data Scientist.
  3. Preferably, experience in the media or advertising industry.
  4. Proficiency in programming in Python with experience using data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
  5. Programming in R will be an advantage.
  6. Understanding various databases and data warehouse concepts, experience with designing databases, and strong practical knowledge of SQL.
  7. Expertise in data manipulation, cleaning, and preprocessing techniques, particularly with large-scale datasets.
  8. Experience with big data technologies and platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive.
  9. Experience with cloud provider(s): AWS, GCP, and/or OCI.
  10. Experience with TV/CTV advertising platforms, including knowledge of ad-serving technologies, audience targeting, and campaign optimization.
  11. Experienced with end-to-end modeling projects emerging from research efforts.
  12. Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with a focus on relevancy scoring and attribution modeling.
  13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  14. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally in a multi-functional team environment.
  15. Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for using data to achieve result excellence.
  16. Plus, if you have experience in online advertising, recommender systems, ranking, ecommerce or other areas.
