What you will do
  1. Develop and maintain robust, scalable solutions using Ruby on Rails, React, and GraphQL.
  2. Lead product development in collaboration with Product, Design, Analytics, and other stakeholders.
  3. Build polished, high-touch user interfaces.
  4. Design and implement scalable solutions.
  5. Enhance 3D modeling integrations, data processing pipelines, and interactive property models.
  6. Improve existing code through refactoring and optimization.
  7. Collaborate with engineers to architect reliable systems.
  8. Ensure high-quality code delivery through unit and end-to-end testing.
  9. Continuously improve development processes and system performance.
  10. Make a measurable impact on user experience for construction and skilled trades customers.
Must haves
  1. 5+ years of experience in full-stack development, with strong expertise in backend technologies like Ruby on Rails, and frontend frameworks such as React.
  2. Experience in building RESTful architectures and/or GraphQL APIs, designing efficient, scalable, and secure interfaces for both internal and external use.
  3. Proficiency in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS or Google Cloud) and experience building scalable applications that support complex workflows.
  4. Working hours: Most of the team works Pacific Time. Ideally, there should be some overlap between 8 AM – 4 PM PT, but this is not a strict requirement.
Nice to haves
  1. Experience with Java, C#.
  2. Product growth and lifecycle management: Experience building and growing products from initial launch through maturity, with a focus on improving, scaling, and evolving the product to better serve users and meet business objectives.
  3. Technical leadership experience: Proven ability to take features from initial concept through planning, development, testing, and final delivery, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.
  4. Team leadership experience, including guiding a group of engineers to challenge the status quo and deliver innovative solutions.
  5. Engineering-driven mindset: Experience working in an engineering-driven organization where engineers share ownership of wins and losses alongside product.
  6. Cross-functional collaboration: Experience working closely with stakeholders from Product, Design, Analytics, and Legal to build and refine products that meet business and regulatory requirements.
  7. Ownership mentality: Demonstrated commitment to taking full responsibility for features from design to deployment.
