We are seeking a skilled Kubernetes Engineer with in-depth experience in Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition to join our client's team, a global leader in financial services. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing Tanzu-based platforms and workloads across diverse environments, ensuring reliability, security, and compliance. You will leverage your expertise in VMware Tanzu and related technologies to enable seamless application deployment, scaling, and operations in a modern, containerized ecosystem.

  • Scripting Languages: Python, Bash

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain VMware Tanzu environments to support scalable, high-performance application workloads.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to enable efficient containerized application deployment through Tanzu's Kubernetes environment.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and application deployments using Ansible, Python, and Bash.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Tanzu platforms to ensure performance, reliability, and high availability.
  • Implement best practices for securing Tanzu environments and ensure compliance with enterprise security standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines that integrate seamlessly with Tanzu.
  • Document platform configurations, processes, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and operational continuity.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with extensive hands-on expertise in VMware Tanzu environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application management in production.
  • Proficiency with Docker for containerization and Ansible for automation.
  • Expertise in scripting with Python and Bash for automation and process improvements.
  • Solid understanding of cloud-native principles, microservices architecture, and containerized application lifecycles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud providers (e.g., VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure, or GCP) integrated with Tanzu environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or ArgoCD in conjunction with Tanzu pipelines.
  • Knowledge of modern application frameworks and languages commonly deployed on Tanzu.
  • Certification in VMware Tanzu or Kubernetes (e.g., CKA, CKAD) is a plus.
