This position is part of the Supplier Quality NCE team based at the Szczecin Production Site in Poland. The team is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental compliance across production operations. The role focuses on managing quality issues related to purchased components, collaborating closely with suppliers and internal Vestas stakeholders to drive corrective actions, resolve root causes, and prevent recurrence of non-conformities

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring supplier quality performance across all production material groups used at the Vestas Szczecin manufacturing site. You will act as a key link between suppliers, production, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive quality excellence and support uninterrupted production operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and drive the resolution of supplier-related non-conformities (NCRs) impacting production
  • Review, challenge, and approve Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) provided by suppliers to ensure effective problem resolution
  • Lead and monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions at supplier locations to prevent recurrence of quality issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing the Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ)
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Sourcing, Logistics, and Quality teams to address supplier performance issues
  • Serve as a key interface with Regional and Global Supplier Quality & Development (SQ&D) teams, as well as external suppliers and customers
  • Support proactive supplier quality management activities to improve product quality, operational efficiency, and supplier performance

Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality, Supplier Management, or a related field
  • Experience applying quality management principles, tools, and advanced problem-solving methodologies in a manufacturing environment
  • Qualification as an ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor and/or experience conducting assessments based on VDA 6.3 standards
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience, with practical knowledge of Continuous Improvement and DMAIC methodologies
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management systems is beneficial
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and with external suppliers
  • Analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive sustainable corrective actions
  • Experience working in a cross-functional, international, and multicultural environment
  • Well-organized, structured, and detail-oriented in your approach to work
  • Service-minded and committed to supporting both internal stakeholders and external suppliers in achieving quality excellence
  • Self-driven, proactive, and motivated to take ownership of challenges and deliver results.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
