The Security Analyst is part of the automation team. The Automation Analyst is a cross-functional role responsible for defining, deploying, and monitoring automation playbooks to automate various manual processes. The incumbent will work with a team of automation specialists to identify manual processes that can be automated and use the automation or SOAR tool to fully automate processes. Information Security is a fast-developing and ever-changing field so it is hard to specifically predict all of the future work this position will be working on.

What you will do:
  • Work directly with customers/prospects to validate use cases and integration requests.
  • Work with various groups within the CCI team to identify opportunities to automate the manual process and reduce the amount of manual work.
  • Work with others to define playbook opportunities including detailed process flow, system integrations and permissions required, the output of data, and the audience of different portions of the data.
  • Build playbooks using out-of-the-box automation and sub-playbooks as well as custom playbooks and Python automation.
  • Prioritize playbooks based on hours saved and complexity.
  • Work closely with customers to provide security solutions and service while accomplishing the project's objectives and filling established requirements.
  • Support Lead and Senior Analysts in identifying and highlighting conflicts that may derail progress toward strategy and establish mechanisms to resolve them.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures, playbook errors, and integration issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal operational impact.
  • Monitor and respond to on-call responsibilities, including diagnosing automation failures, investigating alerts, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Act as a point of contact for urgent security automation incidents, providing timely updates and resolutions to stakeholders.
What you need:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and identify Information Security solutions to challenging business problems.
  • Experience with API integration and documentation.
  • Understanding of SCRUM and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with cyber security and Information Technology principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Certifications in API, Security Software Development, Python or such as Security+, CISSP, CISA.
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting and debugging.
