Job Description
We are looking for a DevOps Engineering Manager who will lead the team responsible for developing and adapting our internal tools and systems both in Polaris and to support projects across the group. You will cover day to day tools development, supporting code compilation and integration, improving builds performance and developing new features.

Daily responsibilities:

  1. Developing, motivating and energizing the team.
  2. Having regular 1-1's with team members.
  3. Cultivating the team culture in line with the company's values and goals.
  4. Cascading and escalating information.
  5. Making Employment Decisions.
  6. Maintenance and improvement of the build system (in-house technology).
  7. Developing and managing CI/CD systems.
  8. Code compilation and integration.
  9. Optimizing pipelines & processes.
  10. Improving builds performance.
  11. Working closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes.
  12. Establishing and maintaining various automation processes.
  13. Maintaining source control branches and performing integrations with merge conflicts.
  14. Providing Perforce support for the team.
  15. Creating and maintaining documentation of the build/release process.

Qualifications

  1. Experience as a Manager or Lead.
  2. Strong proficiency in C# backend development (ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+, primarily .NET 8).
  3. 5+ years experience in software development in gaming - must have.
  4. Experience in Entity Framework, LINQ.
  5. Proficient in Python programming.
  6. Knowledge of Postgres or other RDBMS.
  7. Experience using source control software.
  8. Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, and driving initiatives independently.
  9. Proven track record of effective collaboration, supporting colleagues, and achieving shared goals.
  10. Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, handle ambiguity, and excel under pressure.

Nice to have

  1. Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  2. Continuous integration concepts, centralized CI, Perforce.
  3. Experience in containerization Docker, Kubernetes.
  4. Familiarity with AWS.
  5. Knowledge of Elasticsearch/MongoDB is a plus.
  6. Knowledge of Active Directory, security concepts, authentication.
