ABOUT Marketing & Business Services Procurement team

MBS, Unilever's Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever's sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever's Compass. The team manages an annual spend of ~9B Euro with a supplier base of about 40,000.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

• Understand the business needs related to functional areas of spend in Workforce and bring deep expertise and insights across the value chain and supply base to translate the business requirements into effective future-fit procurement strategies.
• Connect strategy & execution aligned to Unilever Compass, Global Divisions, Functions & Markets goals, and priorities, aligned with Procurement with Purpose and OneMBS strategies and principles.
• Deliver transformational sourcing projects, operating models, and supplier relationships to redefine our procurement approach to Workforce including a focus on Sustainability and Responsible Sourcing best practices.
• Execute the sourcing strategy, including tendering, analysis, selection of and negotiation with suppliers, including crafting and placing legal agreements/contracts and confidentiality agreements and ensuring that all are conducted in accordance with Unilever's code of business ethics and corporate social responsibility requirements.
• Work with senior stakeholders to deliver complex globally led projects across multiple geographies.
• Deliver against financial targets and other KPIs (including value delivery) as per business plan objectives.
• Lead Supplier relationships and implement Partners with Purpose strategy with critical suppliers.
• Lead a geographically dispersed team to inspire, develop, and support our people, deliver results, and create and promote a healthy business culture.
• Ensure Portfolio fundamentals (i.e., data consistency, data insights, recurring stakeholder communications, contracts, etc.) are all put in place.
• Future proof the portfolio by driving digital approaches, while building technology enablers to help manage selected portfolio and scope.
• Management activities on a day-to-day basis.
• To take ownership on and lead projects to deliver the One MBS agenda a part of the portfolio across the key areas of Partnership with Purpose (PWP), RSP, Sustainability, CLM, Savings, Cash, People well-being, etc.
• Lead internal performance management and reporting including creation and stewardship of relevant key performance indicators.
• Develop a deep understanding of and rigorously apply the Unilever strategic sourcing process and tools, including being fully operational and actively using e-Sourcing tools, e.g. use of e-RFIs, e-RFPs, cost modelling and others.
• Respond proactively to information demands and questions from supply management operational teams and other internal parties as needed.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

• 3+ years of procurement experience, including proven and deep experience in procuring professional services or related field of indirect procurement portfolios.
• Strategic sourcing, portfolio strategy expertise, with experience in managing complex portfolio/category, at global or multi-regional level.
• Expert in negotiation and contracting.
• Experience in strategic supplier relationship management.
• Experience on large-scale project management.
• Demonstrated and proven leadership capabilities to lead a virtual global team.
• Experience in shaping and leading transformational business process reengineering, with experience driving Change Management initiatives.
