We are looking for an ambitious and experienced IT Solution Architect to join the Business Solution Team in the Transformers Business Unit at our client's organization. This is a unique opportunity for someone ready to step into a junior enterprise architect role, helping bring structure and strategic direction to a complex IT landscape across the European manufacturing footprint.

Transformers play a critical role in delivering reliable, efficient, and sustainable electricity worldwide. The Business Solution Team (BST) drives IT strategy execution, operations, and application management across global manufacturing plants.

In Europe, our client is entering a growth phase. We are looking for a hands-on IT Solution Architect who will travel across European factories, assess local IT environments, and design a unified IT landscape aligned with the global strategy and future business needs.

You will be instrumental in bringing order to complexity, transforming local variations into a clear, scalable architecture that supports both current operations and future growth.

Your Impact:

  • Design and implement the European Hub's IT Application Landscape, aligned with global enterprise architecture standards. Define and enforce architectural guidelines and best practices for the region.
  • Actively visit factories across Europe to analyze current IT systems, understand business needs, and identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review, challenge, and approve all IT solution designs within the Hub. Guide vendor teams and internal teams to create robust, scalable, and efficient solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate business goals into long-term IT roadmaps, supporting manufacturing, engineering, and R&D processes.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, security, and sustainability are embedded in every solution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for project teams and factories. Share best practices, troubleshoot complex issues, and guide development teams.
  • Stay updated on trends in manufacturing IT, engineering, and R&D to proactively recommend innovations.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Solution Design / Architecture.
  • Exposure to large-scale projects, ideally across multiple sites or regions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT frameworks, architecture principles, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on programming experience (Java, .NET, C/C++, SQL, Python) is a plus.
  • Experience (or strong interest) in manufacturing, engineering, or R&D environments is highly valued.
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable working in international teams and with external vendors.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills — able to build relationships both on the factory floor and in executive meetings.
  • Skilled at navigating complex, multicultural environments.
  • Problem-solving mindset.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across Europe (~30-50%).

Compensation:

220 PLN/hour on a B2B contract.
