Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution focused on innovative technology solutions within the equity derivatives space. You will be part of a global team developing and maintaining a cutting-edge Structured Products Order Management System (OMS) that integrates pricing services, client RFQs, and secondary market activities. Your role will involve migrating legacy systems, developing new features using Java and React, and collaborating closely with structuring and trading desks to optimize performance and efficiency in a fast-paced trading environment.

Your main responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining a strategic Equity Derivatives trading infrastructure
  • Designing and implementing scalable backend services with event-driven architecture
  • Building and optimizing a React-based front-end for pricing and order management
  • Collaborating with structuring and trading desks to refine system requirements
  • Ensuring software reliability through automated testing and DevOps best practices
  • Enhancing database performance using relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
  • Implementing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party financial services
  • Driving continuous improvement through Agile methodologies and test-driven development
  • Providing production support and troubleshooting for critical applications
You're ideal for this role if you have:
  • Strong experience with object-oriented or functional programming, particularly in Java
  • Hands-on expertise in building scalable full-stack applications
  • Proficiency with React for front-end development
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs
  • Solid understanding of Agile, DevOps, and test-driven development principles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, global trading environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Motivation to deepen your knowledge of equity derivatives trading
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
It is a strong plus if you have:
  • Experience working with Google Cloud services
  • Knowledge of equity derivatives pricing or risk management
  • Familiarity with trading infrastructure and financial market technologies
  • Exposure to legacy system migrations and modernization
  • Growth mindset with adaptability to agile software development
