By joining us as a RTR Team Leader, you will become part of the Eltel Group – a Scandinavian company operating in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Germany. We are a Shared Services Center based in Gdańsk, employing around 90 specialists across accounting, HR, and IT functions, supporting our international organization on a daily basis. As part of our continued organizational growth and focus on strengthening managerial capabilities, we are expanding our structure by introducing new team leader positions.
The Record to Report (RTR) team is responsible for the end-to-end accounting process to deliver accurate and timely financial data, and for ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. It manages general ledger activities, including journal entries, fixed assets, and IFRS 16 lease accounting, performs reconciliations, and supports month-end closing activities, including revenue recognition and group financial reporting. RTR also manages selected Treasury activities, covering transactional and operational processes such as payment processing, cash application and reconciliation, execution and settlement of foreign exchange transactions, cash flow forecasting, and management of bank guarantees.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading the RTR team supporting all markets within the organization. You will manage and support a team of 20 engaged employees with varying levels of expertise and seniority. In your daily work, you will closely cooperate with the RTR Manager, who will provide guidance and support in achieving team goals and further development.
We offer a flexible working model, with most duties performed remotely. At the same time, this role requires attendance at our modern office in the Tryton office building in the center of Gdańsk approximately four times per month.
We are looking for a proactive and committed individual with an open-minded approach and strong professional ethics – someone who understands how to identify talent and align it with business goals. Strong written and spoken English skills are required, as this position includes frequent communication with international colleagues and business partners.
The main tasks of this position are:
- lead, develop and manage the RTR team (including: coaching, 1:1s, performance reviews)
- coordinate daily operations: task distribution, scheduling, workload prioritisation and back-up coverage
- monitor KPIs and SLAs, analyse team performance
- identify and manage operational risks
- support the team on complex accounting cases and keep all procedures up to date
- drive process improvement initiatives and coordinate knowledge transfer and transitions
- participate in recruitment and onboarding processes
- leading team and operational meetings with the team and Country Offices
Our requirements:
- university degree in Finance and Accounting, or another field of study together with Level II certification from SKWP (Association of Accountants in Poland)
- minimum 1 year of experience as a Team Leader and at least 4 years of experience in accounting
- English on a B2/C1 level
- very good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel
- strong leadership, communication, and people management skills
- high level of business maturity and responsibility
- proactive attitude, willingness to learn and positive approach to work
- experience in SSC or international environment will be an advantage
