Your Role
The Material Planning Manager is responsible for providing deep subject matter expertise as the leader of a Raws & Packs category within the supply chain. Partnering with functional leadership, they will drive the organization, reinforce and refine standard work, and ensure optimal results.

Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Material Planning: Define strategic material needs to ensure timely availability in the right quantity and quality. Conduct financial valuations of supply planning decisions.
  2. Replenishment Strategy: Develop and manage replenishment strategies and parameters to optimize material availability.
  3. VMI Standardization: Promote and support standardized Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) coverage across supply points.
  4. Procurement Collaboration: Ensure material forecasts are shared with Procurement and suppliers for synchronized material supply.
  5. MRP Planning: Update MRP plans for efficient inventory and capacity balance.
  6. Supplier Performance: Review and improve supplier performance in collaboration with the Procurement team.
  7. Phase-In/Out: Develop innovative phase-in/out strategies for materials in different projects.
  8. Material Management: Manage material and BOM transitions efficiently.
  9. Master Data Excellence: Ensure master data integrity by flagging exceptions for correction.
  10. Strategic Materials Vision: Develop a vision for strategic materials and align with stakeholders.
  11. Collaborative Planning: Ensure an efficient collaboration process with the call-off planner for timely purchase order placement.
  12. Management: Lead, manage, and supervise the team. Define team scopes and facilitate discussions between Material Planners and other stakeholders.

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, applied math, or other relevant degree.
  2. Strong understanding of at least advanced planning systems and their functionality.
  3. Knowledge of ERP functionality, experience with SAP / Oracle / JDE is an asset.
  4. Demonstrated experience in materials or supply chain in a manufacturing environment.
  5. Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills, and effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  6. An ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong work ethic and high attention to detail, with a desire to learn.
