It is Unilever's in-house centre of business partnering and operational excellence in the area of finance services, supply chain, customs, procurement, integrated planning and performance delivery. There are 300 people in Katowice Hub.

The modern Katowice Hub office, whose interiors were designed according to the principles of sustainable development, is located in the city centre of Katowice, Poland.
We are working in a hybrid way to use the time spent in the office to influence collaboration and strengthen the team spirit, using specially designed office areas for this purpose.

CATEGORY/FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

The Tariff team, as part of the European Customs Team, is responsible for maintaining the classification of all Unilever products that are moved across borders and for determining the preferential origin of the goods. The core team is based in the Katowice Hub and closely cooperates with Customs Experts located in different European countries.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  1. Manage and control customs declarations and tax assessments from a legal and compliance perspective (audit proof).
  2. Fulfill country-specific customs requirements.
  3. Conduct preferential origin checks, customs classification, and supervision on duty rates applied in SAP GTS.
  4. Request LTSD and other proof of origin from 3rd party suppliers via SAP GTS.
  5. Issue LTSD and other proof of origin to Unilever clients.
  6. Resolve daily tariff customs-related issues.
  7. Manage ways of working with the 3PL, different Unilever departments, and other non-Unilever parties involved in new product launches.
  8. Manage relations with customs brokers, logistics, finance, planning, and procurement departments.
