Fund Accounting Team Leader with French

As part of the continued growth of the operations, we are expanding our client's team in Cracow to strengthen the expertise in servicing institutional clients. Responsibilities

  • Actively manage a team of up to 10 fund accountants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate production of client-specific reports and financial statements.
  • Maintain strong technical expertise to support team members in complex cases and take ownership when needed.
  • Act as a reviewer/validator for tasks requiring senior-level oversight.
  • Collaborate with senior management and risk teams to maintain robust control frameworks and mitigate potential risks.
  • Optimize resource allocation to handle changes in transaction volume, fund structures, and client requirements effectively.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance processes to increase efficiency, drive innovation, and implement best practices.
  • Organize and conduct training sessions to develop both technical expertise and cross-functional knowledge within the team.
  • Foster a culture of performance and engagement through regular staff meetings, feedback sessions, and career development discussions.
  • Ensure the team consistently meets high service standards, including productivity, audit performance, and employee satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting / fund accounting (at least 2 years in team management capacity).
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Knowledge of Private Capital will be a strong asset.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to delegate effectively and inspire commitment within a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.
  • Experience working with institutional clients, investment funds, or corporate finance structures.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-changing environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
