We're looking for a UX/UI Designer to join our growing Design System team Our design system team is at the heart of our product development, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all our digital platforms.
As part of a small, dedicated team, you'll collaborate with designers from our growing UX Community (inside and outside of the team), developers, and other stakeholders to maintain, enhance, and evolve our design system.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design System Maintenance: Assist in the creation and maintenance of UI components for our design system, ensuring designs are consistent, scalable, and aligned with our brand guidelines.
  2. Component Creation: Design and document reusable UI components, patterns, and templates.
  3. Design Tokens: Help create and maintain design tokens for colours, typography, spacing, etc.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with product teams (UX designers, developers, and product owners) to implement and refine design solutions.
  5. Documentation: Contribute to the creation of clear, detailed documentation for components, usage guidelines & best practices.
  6. Accessibility: Ensure designs are compliant to accessibility standards (WCAG standards, contrast requirements, etc.).
  7. Learning: Stay informed about UI/UX design patterns, tools, and best practices to help evolve the design system.
  8. Processes: Contribute to process improvements regarding Design System management (Change & release management; Contribution processes, …)
Qualifications

Must-haves:

  1. 3 years of experience in UI design, with some exposure to design systems.
  2. A strong understanding of UX/UI design principles.
  3. Fluency in working with Figma as a design tool and eagerness to dive into the advanced features.
  4. Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  5. Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating consistent, user-friendly interfaces across digital touchpoints (websites, web apps, mobile apps, …).
  6. Ability to clearly communicate the reasoning behind your design choices.
  7. Good at receiving and providing feedback, always able to take a step back to try and see an issue from a different perspective.
  8. Actively contribute to a positive team culture.

Nice-to-haves:

  1. Familiarity with design tokens and their implementation.
  2. Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices.
  3. Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and responsive design principles.
