SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Active member of the senior team
• Point of contact for Quality queries for the plant
• Carry out all duties to maintain compliance, enhancement and re accreditation of BRC, ISO9001, ISO14001, FSC and PEFC.
• Day to day Management of the Quality Department
• Control and conduct Internal, external Quality/Hygiene Audits
• Link between site and GPI Group Quality – ensuring site comply with group requirements and new processes and projects are incorporated into the site QMS
• Manage quality department team ensuring performance of the department is measured, controlled and reviewed on the regular basis.
• Create KPIs and development plan for department and individuals.
• Create, complete and monitor site Quality Improvement Plan
• Control Quality documentation required for the Management system.
• Lead audits/visits by External Auditors and Customers
• Lead Internal & External complaint investigations through root cause analysis.
• Present analysis of facts to establish the nature of problems and solutions/actions/ follow up and report to Management Team
• Ensure good working relationships with co-workers across all departments.
• Provide a visible shop floor presence for leadership for Quality & Hygiene and promote Quality Culture
• Ensure all Quality Control equipment is maintained and calibrated.
• Administrate and direct everyday essential Quality assurance activities.
• Collate, record and report Quality metrics on weekly, monthly and annual basis (internally and externally)
• Review and recommend improvements to increase product uniformity, conformity and reliability to improve quality characteristics and reduce failures and complaints.
• Analyse all elements of quality costs such as basis for initiating positive actions and reductions in cost
• Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement programmes.
• Perform any other duties as directed by Senior Managers to fully carry out this role

SKILLS/QUALS

• Quality & Hygiene management experience
• Proficiency in Polish and a professional level of English
• Ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the business
• Ability to work on own initiative and manage departments work load
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills essential, ability to understand clear written and verbal instructions.
• Effective problem-solving and logical decision making ability
• Good understanding of procedures and processes.
• Highly responsible, reliable and flexible with a strong work ethic
• Quality and safety conscious
• Experience of a similar role within a packaging manufacturing business
• Competency in using Microsoft products i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
