Sourcing Specialist

Location: Bydgoszcz, Poland

For our client we are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Sourcing Specialist.

About the Role

You will be responsible for implementing the sourcing strategy for manufacturing plants within the business. Establish and direct the sourcing of materials and services in line with the business leadership for the assigned product/category and/or region in line with the annual operating plan and strategic plan. You will be responsible for a specific business unit to develop competitive sourcing strategies for products and categories to achieve the lowest total cost for that BU, reduced working capital through planning and execution of negotiations, sourcing from high growth regions, value engineering and elimination of single source. You will manage supplier performance to support your product/category and/or region and ensure continuity of supply. You will manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment. You will ensure compliance with company policies and procedures & export/import regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Supplier selection, RFI and RFQ process, Negotiation, Contracting (MPA, SA, etc.) and supplier performance processes.
  • Ownership of supplier selection, price and terms management. Works collaboratively with Category Sourcing team on supplier selection where strategic suppliers are involved.
  • Manage BU suppliers' performance. Work collaboratively with Supplier Quality team on management of supplier scorecards. Gathers input from local Purchasing on supplier performance. Perform business review with supplier leadership; Ensure Relationship development and management with key Supplier Leaderships.
  • Maintenance of approved vendor list, info records and vendor master records for manufacturing sites.
  • Identify, develop, manage and complete BU sourcing projects. Support/coordination of global strategic sourcing projects. Monitor & log sourcing savings performance for completed projects in Sourcing Savings Tracker.
  • Participate in events for sourcing savings initiative development (e.g. Sourcing Kaizen, VA/VE tear down analysis, Supplier Innovation events, etc.).
  • Monitor & address inflationary issues for assigned commodity for BU globally. Market intelligent Understanding of market situation and adjust BU assigned commodity sourcing strategy.
  • Monitor and address PPV (Purchasing Price Variance) issue for assigned commodity.
  • Performance & risk management of site suppliers, address sole source risk.
  • Supply Chain Support of New Product Development and localization projects.

What You Need

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant sourcing work experience in global manufacturing company.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of spend in excess of $10M
  • Strong knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, PowerBI) with ability to perform Spend data analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication skills – logical and organized.
  • High-level negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed analytical skills with demonstrated creative problem-solving experience.

  • An excellent team player. Ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders and partners within a cross functional environment.
