Wealth Credit Services Senior Analyst

Overview

Wealth Credit Management (WCM) at Citi is a business line formed to provide integrated end to end credit underwriting, transaction and portfolio management in partnership with all the origination businesses of the Private Bank and Wealth Management of Citi. Deal Closing (DCT) and Loan Management (LMT) teams in Wealth Credit Services are critical teams to ensure interpret, review and collect all finance and regulatory documents needed to close and book loan deals as well as to ensure critical data are captured properly in various systems and can be validated against gold source and appropriate legal document.

We are looking to hire an experienced professional to contribute and perform a role on the DCT / LMT team within Loan Product and Transaction Management in WCM.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the Term Sheets for new closings / amendments / restructures
• Provide checklists to transactors / underwriters detailing all documents needed to close
• Review the draft credit agreement for roles and responsibilities as well as Operational mechanics – compatibility with loan product processor and any manual touch points involved
• Continue to work with Lending Advisors / Underwriter for changes / updates to the draft credit agreement and provide feedback as needed
• Provide formally sign off on the final draft agreement prior to the executed version
• Review loan documentation to ensure critical data is captured correctly in credit systems for regulatory reporting
• Engage Deal Closing Team (DCT), Credit Management Team (CMT) underwriters and transactors to address discrepancies with loan documentation and credit system
• Work with appropriate operations to address discrepancies with loan documentation and credit system
• Engage technology teams to address discrepancies requiring tech intervention
• Closely track completed reviews and drive pending reviews to completion to prevent backlog
• Constantly improve processes, controls and efficiencies within the group and front to back across loan lifecycle
• Participate in projects and provide valuable input with various working groups created to enhance performance and efficiency

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

• Solid knowledge of Loan product and/or Loan Operations activities
• Expert in reading and interpreting credit agreements
• Strong Credit Data analysis experience covering issue identification and resolution
• Proven ability to collaborate with team members and senior management both within the lines of business and across multiple stakeholders
• Analytical capabilities including the ability to identify, escalate, and propose solutions to complex problems
• Proven track record in establishing and maintain business line partnerships
• Strong influencing skills and ability to work in an environment where priorities are frequently changing
• Adapt to an evolving process and proactively suggest process improvements

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in large financial institution is a must
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Prior experience in Loan product is preferred
• Understanding of lending rules and regulation is a plus
• Experience with exposure and transactions reporting tools
• Attention to detail
• Excellent oral and written communication capability
• Ability to take initiative and self-motivate
• Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
