For our Client- big international FMCG food company- we are looking for Cash Application & Collections Specialist with German.

This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient payment processing and effective cash collection, while also contributing to broader improvements in our Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Timely and accurate posting of incoming payments to customer accounts, ensuring proper allocation against invoices.
  • Reviewing and verifying remittance information to ensure all required documentation is in place.
  • Reconciling customer payments and resolving discrepancies to maintain clean and accurate accounts.
  • Managing exceptions, such as unapplied payments, and ensuring they're resolved quickly and correctly.
  • Investigating and recording any deductions or short payments from customers.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cash application and supporting regular performance reviews within the I2C area.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements, particularly in cash allocation and documentation handling.
  • Supporting digitalization initiatives and tools related to cash application, such as HighRadius.
  • Proactively following up on overdue payments by performing dunning activities, contacting customers directly, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Monitoring aging reports to prioritize collection tasks and ensure timely recovery of outstanding receivables.
  • Building strong relationships with customers by resolving payment issues and negotiating repayment terms when needed.
  • Assessing customer creditworthiness, reviewing and adjusting credit limits, verifying credit availability, and handling blocked orders.
  • Collaborating closely with the I2C team and other departments to improve internal processes and boost cash flow efficiency.
  • Carrying out month-end reconciliations and ensuring accurate financial records related to collections and cash application.

Our requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP and familiarity with HighRadius will be a strong advantage.
  • Previous experience in a Shared Services Center (SSC) or BPO environment is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and German- minimum B2 level in both languages.
  • Hands-on experience in migration or transition projects would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks under time pressure.
  • A positive mindset with a proactive, "can-do" attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent changes.
