Position
We are looking for a Materials Engineer/Welding Engineer (she/he) for our client in the Oil & Gas industry.

Depending on experience and competencies.
You’re ideal for this role if you:
- Hold a degree in Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related discipline
- Have significant experience in Subsea Materials Engineering, ideally within an EPC or OEM environment
- Possess strong technical knowledge of welding processes, welding qualifications, and NDE techniques
- Are certified as NDE Level 3 (mandatory requirement)
- Have additional certifications such as IWE or equivalent – considered an advantage
- Have experience working on EPC systems and complex project delivery models
- Have a proven track record in Subsea Systems Delivery, including production equipment and associated infrastructure
- Familiar with international standards and codes such as DNV, ISO, API, ASME, and NORSOK
- Can effectively manage multiple technical priorities and work under pressure across several projects simultaneously
- Communicate confidently in English, both written and spoken, and are comfortable interfacing with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and interpreting client specifications, international standards, codes, and environmental/field conditions
- Preparing Material Selection Reports, Corrosion Protection Philosophies, and related technical documentation
- Supporting design reviews, technical risk assessments, and resolving materials-related technical queries
- Evaluating and qualifying suppliers and sub‑vendors, including assessment of capabilities, procedures, and compliance
- Reviewing and approving fabrication and manufacturing documentation, including WPS/PQRs, ITPs, material certificates, and NDE procedures
- Providing technical support to manufacturing and fabrication activities, including coordination with shops and vendors
- Investigating and resolving materials- and welding-related non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective action support
- Contributing to lessons learned initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and technical governance processes
- Supporting tendering and proposal activities, including technical scope definition and technical risk
