Department Overview

The Business Solutions Group supports process automation, data extraction, and customized solutions across the various business units. Externally, BSG works with clients to deliver innovative data solutions, and customized reporting requirements. The scope of work is entirely project based, so there will always be new challenges and problems for our team to solve. Our tight-knit group fosters collaboration and open communication for each project we take on.

Job Description

A Fund Accounting - Process Automation Analyst is responsible for observing, documenting, and leveraging technology to improve processes across the various business units. A successful candidate will be able to learn about the financial services and hedge fund industry, in addition to the application of technology and programming within the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and monitor ETL processes from diverse sources into our accounting and reporting systems.
  2. Engage, improve, and automate internal Fund Accounting and other operational processes used by business teams.
  3. Leverage applicable technologies through the development of python scripts and other technological innovations.
  4. Automate key operational reports by converting legacy excel-based processes into python scripts.
  5. Apply new technologies to develop solutions to new problems as they arise, while continually addressing current issues.
  6. Produce clean and efficient code based on given specifications.
  7. Build and maintain reconciliations between various financial sources and datasets.
  8. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in data analysis and financial services to drive innovation and efficiency.

Job Requirements for the role:

Education:

  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other related Data Analyst fields.

Personal skills:

  • Must be able to self-start and be eager to learn.
  • Ability to find new, creative, and unconventional solutions to problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
