WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the local Finance Controlling team as part of Panasonic Europe B.V., providing finance business partnering shared services to Panasonic Consumer and Panasonic Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning businesses for their branches across Europe.

Under the role there is responsibility for 21 entities across Europe in all aspects of accounting operations: management accounting, planning and forecasting, full control of balance sheet with a team spread out across Europe - with 5 direct reports (so 5 local Finance Controllers) located in Spain, France, and Poland. In addition, the position coordinates with external accounting company for Eastern Europe entities in Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Hungary. The Finance Manager provides business partnering support to all internal customers as well as leading Finance related and ad hoc projects, and ensuring statutory accounting requirements are met.

Tasks:
  • Oversees delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. Ensuring local accounting principles and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS's) are met.
  • Presents and provides financial reports as part of business partnering to Operating company Finance Directors and Heads of Divisions. Holds regular meetings for cost reviews, budgetary control.
  • Leads all financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting for Local Sales branches. Collaborates with executives and directors to create business plans and track key performance indicators.
  • Ensures compliance with statutory requirements and PE/PME company governance is followed in all aspects of Finance, including JSOX coordination for local branches for HR and Finance.
  • Manages a growing finance department.
  • Initiates improvement projects, to ensure an efficient & sophisticated finance team that offers excellence service & systems and provides support to the Finance Director for any other ad hoc projects.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) +5 years
  • At least 8-10 years in the accounting experience
  • Experience of working in a centralized European team
  • Advanced Excel skills is desired
  • Good SAP S4 knowledge
  • Fluent in English
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, to communicate with colleagues of all levels and across different countries in Europe
  • Self starter, to be able to innovate and see changes through from start to finish
  • Possess good time management and organizational skills
  • High attention to detail, quality and accuracy
  • Demonstrates a professional attitude and approach
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Works well under pressure, and embraces challenges
