About the Team

Financial Markets (FM) has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. The FM team offers capabilities across origination, structuring, sales, trading and research. Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, FM has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Own the Market Risk Platform data model
  2. Collaborate closely with Business Analysts to capture requirements affecting the data model
  3. Design database objects according to business requirements
  4. Present data model changes to the architecture council
  5. Perform optimization and performance tuning
  6. Ensure compliance with the agreed design and consistency of naming conventions

Mandatory Skills Description:

  1. Over 10 years of experience as a database developer, including recent experience as database / data architect
  2. Exceptional data modelling skills
  3. In-depth knowledge of database technologies, with a preference for ClickHouse; experience with MS SQL or Oracle is also acceptable
  4. Strong data analytical skills using SQL and Python (pandas)
  5. Familiarity with data models used in Financial Markets and Market Risk business domains
