Direct oversight of Lead developers working across various teams or products. Leading by example, fostering a strong sense of purpose and community, while promoting a healthy work culture in line with company values. Defining and ensuring adherence to best practices in game development. Regularly reporting on project progress, key objectives, and any issues to senior management. Serving as the primary point of contact for technical inquiries related to the game’s technology. Assisting Product Owners and Technical Leads in setting the project direction and providing early estimates. Ensuring products are up-to-date with both external and internal technological advancements. Collaborating with product leadership and Business Analysts on roadmap development and product rollouts. Monitoring product performance and ensuring timely resolution of issues in collaboration with Product Owners and Technical Leads. Leading investigations into project inefficiencies or issues and driving efforts to resolve them. Partnering with other Engineering Managers to identify and implement cross-product tools and solutions. Managing engineering talent, maintaining team motivation, and optimizing team performance. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
8 years of experience as a Game Engineer, with at least 3 years in an Engineering Manager role. Extensive experience with Unity development. Experience managing QA teams and processes is a bonus. Perks and Benefits:
