Job Overview: We are seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer with expertise in video backend development to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and robust backend solutions for video processing and streaming. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software development and contribute to the overall success of our products and services.

Revelant work experience in software development, with a focus on video backend systems
Proficiency in at least one low-level programming language, preferably C/C++
Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language preferably Typescript / Node.js or Java or Python
Experience with at least one media processing framework at the API level, the most useful would be Gstreamer, OBS, Ardour and FFmpeg/libav
Practical day to day experience with the Linux environment
Understanding of network related topics related to audio/video transmission: TCP/UDP, MPEGTS muxers, RTP
Practical experience with running complex software projects from scratch, knowledge of git, cmake, gcc, gdb, npm
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Experience with agile development methodologies
Strong communication and collaboration skills in English.
Nice To Have Skills And Experience

Open source contribution to media related projects. Active participation in online communities related to them
Programming experience with Electron/Chromium/CEF
Familiarity with programming for GPUs
Basic understanding of databases and SQL, NoSQL
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
Experience with audio processing and mixing workflows: Ardour, Jack, Pipewire
Knowledge of low latency video conferencing technologies such as WebRTC
Understanding of video transport protocols like SRT, RTMP, Zixi, or Rist
Experience with HLS or DASH video streaming
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
