Job Summary: DevOps Release Engineer will play a crucial role at FTS in optimizing our software development and deployment processes, ensuring the stability and reliability of our products, and promoting collaboration between development and operations teams. Role-specific Competencies:
Technical Proficiency :
o    Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
o    Proficiency in using CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, GitHub actions, Bitbucket pipelines.
o    Experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL-based preferred, Ubuntu a plus, etc.)
o    Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes.)
o    Experience with Nginx, API gateways, Service mesh technologies such as Istio, Consul
o    Familiarity with Helm charts, Terraform, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and tools.
Automation Skills :
o    Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
o    Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
Collaboration and Communication :
o    Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
o    Ability to bridge the gap between development and operations teams.
Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting :
o    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.
o    Ability to handle high-pressure situations during incidents.
Security Awareness :
o    Understanding of security best practices in DevOps processes.
o    Knowledge of security scanning and vulnerability assessment tools.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in a DevOps or related role, preferably in a technology-focused environment.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
This position may require going into the Krakow office from time to time for team meetings & projects. Candidate must have ability to commute to Krakow office if needed.
