Head of Accounting Miejsce pracy: Szczecin Your responsibilities Ensuring proper, high quality and effective functioning of the financial area (including taxes) for the Group, excluding financial control and financial planning
Leading a team of 14 professionals within AP, AR and GL teams
Ensuring accurate and complete accounting and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, both externally and internally. Reporting should be done in cooperation with the Financial Control team and Financial Planning
Ensuring compliance with tax and VAT regulations
Acting as a leader in projects and tasks related to the area of responsibility - both internally and externally (auditors and other advisors)
Analysis and identification of risks and requirements of the Group related to internal control and taxes, with particular emphasis on issues related to the Group's listing on the stock exchange
Actively proposing and implementing initiatives (together with other departments) aimed at reducing risk in the area of responsibility
Developing and improving accounting and reporting routines and processes
Monitoring changes in regulations that affect the Group from a financial, reporting or tax perspective
Acting as a process owner and supervising the definition of requirements to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of IT systems within the area of responsibility
Our requirements Higher education in Finance, Accountancy or Economics
Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance and Operational Management, including min 3 years of managing teams
Expert knowledge of IFRS accounting principles, ability to translate changes into accounting practices
Strong knowledge on VAT, Income tax and other company related obligations
Strong knowledge about Internal control process
Strong in MS Office; especially Excel, and also ERP
Excellent time management skills (dealing well with deadlines)
Very good English skills– enabling business communication
Teamwork and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically, be detail-oriented and have the courage to take the initiative
Highly developed leadership, motivational and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage teams and cooperate with other departments
Certified public accountant (Register Accountant) qualification is a preferred
Positive attitude, decisive personality
