Job Purpose and Overview: Appfire is looking for a Technical Writer. In this critical role, you will be responsible for researching, authoring, curating, updating, and testing technical documentation and content for one or more Appfire products in a collaborative team setting.
Our tools: Confluence, Jira, Camtasia, Snagit, Arcade, Loom

What You Will Do: Create and maintain content for business users, casual users, administrators, developers, and external Appfire customers, including:
product documentation,
user/administrative guides,
use cases,
instructional videos,
release notes,
HOW-TO and troubleshooting articles.
Collaborate with teams across the globe, including technical support, product management, release management, developers, QA, professional services, and sales engineering to:
translate verbal and written technical requirements into documentation,
assist engineers, UX designers, and others in drafting user-facing content.
Acquire expertise in specified products.
Learn and follow department procedures for writing, editing, and publishing documentation.
Participate in the team's daily stand-up meetings and Agile ceremonies.

What We Would Like to See: 2+ years’ experience managing software documentation.
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing or a Technical Degree (B.E/B.Tech/M.C.A) or equivalent experience.
Impeccable written and verbal skills in English.
Experience working with the Atlassian product suite (Jira, Confluence).
Knowledge of monday.com is a plus.
Ability to prepare and conduct subject matter expert interviews.
Ability to work independently, including time management, prioritization, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Ability to break down complex concepts in an understandable way.

Nice to have: Familiarity with the Agile process.
Sound investigative skills, with the ability to understand the audience's needs and provide the information most important to them.
Creativity, initiative, and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience with industry-standard content creation, management, and publishing tools, including XML editors, content management systems, and video production tools.
Experience documenting APIs, SDKs, and other development-driven sources.
