Displate.com is home to artworks from thousands of independent artists and the biggest brands on this planet, like Marvel, DC, Star Wars, Blizzard, NASA, Iron Maiden, CyberPunk, The Witcher... you name it. We’re producing metal posters on demand and selling them to customers from over 50 countries


As the Art Director, you will be responsible for shaping the visual identity of Displate. You will lead the design team, overseeing the creation of compelling visual content that aligns with our brand vision and engages our global audience. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative innovation, and hands-on design expertise.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain a strong, cohesive brand identity that resonates with our target audience.
  • Work closely with the Brand & Communication and other senior leaders to define the brand strategy and ensure all visual content aligns with the company’s goals and vision.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, illustrators, and other creative professionals.
  • Oversee all aspects of visual design, including marketing campaigns, web and mobile interfaces, social media, and more.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all visual touchpoints.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, business development to ensure cohesive execution of brand initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Incorporate the latest design trends and innovations into the brand’s visual strategy.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives.
  • Present design concepts and strategies to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce brand guidelines and standards.
  • Review and approve all visual content to ensure it meets high standards of quality and aligns with brand guidelines.

General expectations:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in brand design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and a deep understanding of brand strategy.
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring creative teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of current design trends, marketing strategies, and digital media.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into compelling visual narratives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
