Senior Software Engineer (Security | Python | Java | C)

The PowerStore Security Engineering Team drives the development of next-generation security solutions to protect data storage systems in an ever-changing threat environment.

This position will directly impact on the resilience and trustworthiness of our products, ensuring they meet high security standards. In this role, you'll gain experience in cutting-edge security technologies, threat modeling, secure software development, and industry best practices, while working alongside top cybersecurity professionals to stay ahead of emerging risks.

What you'll achieve

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer's business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of new or re-engineered software/storage environments
  • Prepare written software/storage specifications for sophisticated products from architectural diagrams and documents
  • Build and review design, functional, technical and/or user documentation, as needed
  • Develop, review and implement test strategies for software products and systems

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field; 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong programming and debugging experience in Python, Java, / or C
  • Focus on test driven development and automated testing implementation
  • Ability to adapt to technologies and processes quickly; code and debug sophisticated programs using either written or verbal design specifications
  • Desire to work as a team and design and develop with a customer focus

Desirable Requirements

  • Understanding of encryption, hashing, key management, and secure communication protocols (TLS, AES, RSA, etc); familiarity with authentication mechanisms like OAuth, SAML, and multi-factor authentication
  • Experience with reactive languages, such as RxJava; familiarity with Agile Scrum work environment
