Our Wholesale Technology teams work closely with HSBC's global Wholesale business to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply, and securely, and our staff to support them efficiently.

The role is within the Global Banking area and within the Project which aims to develop and improve deal-capture application enabling the data collection and portfolio management of credit transactions in investment banking area (financing of assets and structured products). Technology is Angular and Java with micro-services. The project addresses 3 key areas in which individual technological solutions are developed and implemented:

- development and automation of appropriate product templates for data entry, workflow for transaction approval and audit,

- integration with accounting and risk management systems in order to automatically source current financial data,

- expansion of reporting tools based on Qlik sense technology enabling report generation for HSBC management and regulators.

What you'll do

⦁Analyse business requirements and enhancements to the IT systems to ensure that these changes have the effect intended by the Business and development teams.  

⦁Work closely with the Pods and BAs in the initial stages of the project and apply analytical skills to understand the business requirements and change requests. Translate those requirements into a clear and unambiguous manner for the test resources (Developers, BAs, and the QA Analyst).

⦁Work independently and as part of a team to design, develop, test framework, and enhance and align with development activities. 

⦁Lead technical solution and implementation for products.

⦁Manage design, reviews, integration with various hosts and Production releases.

⦁Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and the testing of delivered code is both timely and of quality to meet HSBC standards. 

⦁Understand data needs for testing, liaising with the PM/support teams and relevant parties for data, batch requirements.

What you need to have to succeed in this role

⦁5+ years of automation testing experience.

⦁Expertise on Selenium & Cucumber, Karate, Java, SQL, Git / GitHub, Jenkins tools. 

⦁Expert knowledge on concept of BDD/TDD.

⦁Hands-on experience in writing BDD feature files. 

⦁Ability to write test scenarios and cases according to high-class industry standards. 

⦁Proficiency in developing testing strategies for application and releases.

⦁Working experience on developing Test Data.

⦁Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) – comfortable with detail.
