We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Engineer to join our team and take ownership of critical financial data processes. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data engineering, strong expertise in SQL and Python, and a deep understanding of financial and operational business metrics.

This role requires a C1 level of English proficiency and excellent communication skills, as it will involve working closely with stakeholders across different teams. The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects without needing extensive guidance is crucial.

You will be part of a newly established data engineering team focused on financial data for both the Touring and Cruising divisions, as well as analytical data for the Cruising division. This team will work closely with the existing data engineering team to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment across the company.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ETL data pipelines using DBT and Airflow, transforming raw data from multiple sources into structured datasets aligned with business logic.
  • Prepare and optimize datasets for reporting in Power BI and other analytical tools, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Work with financial data for tax, legal, and compliance reporting, ensuring all financial statements meet auditing requirements.
  • Optimize database performance by writing and refining complex SQL queries.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, finance teams, and data analysts to understand their data needs and ensure smooth data operations.
  • Implement data governance and security best practices, ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing support and leadership as the team grows.

Our requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on financial data.
  • Proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries and optimize performance.
  • Hands-on experience in building and managing ETL pipelines, preferably using Airflow and DBT.
  • Strong Python skills for data manipulation, automation, and scripting.
  • C1-level English proficiency – the ability to communicate effectively with global teams.
  • Experience working end-to-end on projects, making independent decisions, and knowing what needs to be done without requiring detailed guidance.
  • Strong knowledge of financial metrics such as gross and net margin, cost of sales, and other financial
  • KPIs.

Optional

  • Background in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing.
  • Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling and transformation.
  • Experience in implementing data governance and security best practices.
