Engineering Manager I

What you'll do: Manage a team of software engineers (6-10 people). Be accountable for the performance and results of the team. Set employee performance objectives and conduct performance reviews. Define team operating standards and ensure essential procedures are followed. Utilize monitoring, automated testing, and a metrics-driven approach to improve customer experience, software quality, and developer productivity Work with product managers and stakeholders to prioritize tasks. Participate in solving complex application problems; quickly clear or escalate roadblocks; actively inform stakeholders about remedial actions and their results. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software development, including 1 year in a leadership role. Proven success in delivering projects on time. Proficient technical skills in either Java/Scala or Python. Experience in creating technical solution proposals and system designs. Preferred experience in Spark. Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with tech and non-tech stakeholders. Experience in creating roadmaps; ability to make appropriate trade-offs across features, resources, and quality.
