Quality Assurance Lead

As a QA Lead you will be working for our client, a global financial institution strengthening its cybersecurity and technology assurance landscape. You will be leading the establishment and growth of a professional testing practice within the Cyber division, ensuring quality standards, automation, and compliance across all testing initiatives. Collaborating with cybersecurity teams, control owners, and business stakeholders, you will be shaping testing frameworks, implementing continuous improvement, and embedding testing excellence into the organisation's culture to enhance resilience, governance, and delivery efficiency across complex systems and digital platforms. Your main responsibilities: Establishing and leading a professional Cyber Testing Practice across the organisation Defining and delivering the testing strategy, standards, and frameworks for Cyber teams Driving the adoption of automated and manual testing best practices Managing and mentoring a team of QA engineers and testing professionals Overseeing testing processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensuring all Cyber testing activities comply with regulatory and control requirements Coordinating with project teams to identify and mitigate testing-related risks Providing training, guidance, and tool usage oversight for QA professionals Defining and monitoring performance and stress testing processes Creating and maintaining a Cyber QA community of practice to share best practices You're ideal for this role if you have: 3 years of experience as a QA Lead within an agile software development environment Strong background in both automated and manual testing practices Proven experience designing test strategies for web applications and REST APIs Solid understanding of performance and stress testing methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and deliver strategic objectives Experience defining and implementing testing frameworks and standards Strong stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration skills Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps delivery processes Excellent communication and documentation skills in English Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Microsoft Office tools It is a strong plus if you have: Experience working within cybersecurity or regulated financial environments Knowledge of compliance and audit evidence requirements for testing Certification in quality assurance or testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) Exposure to cloud-based testing environments and security validation Proven ability to build and lead QA communities of practice We offer you: ITDS Business Consultants is involved in many various, innovative and professional IT projects for international companies in the financial industry in Europe.
