Data Governance Analyst Miejsce pracy: Warszawa Technologies we use Expected SQL Microsoft Azure Azure Data Factory Databricks Snowflake Optional Unity Catalog Collibra About the project Brings to the Data Governance team, Data as a Product in Service to Data Governance as a Service mindset within the Operations business unit. The candidate will work within the Operations business unit and collaborate with various teams, including Business Insights & Performance, Operations, and Technology. Candidate will require knowledgeable application of Business Intelligence (BI) Visualization tools, and data processing methods (like ETL and ELT) to gather requirements and understand the flow of data from creation to usage. The candidate will support Data Engineering, Reporting & Analytics, Compliance, and Risk teams by leveraging current and future Enterprise Data Governance tools. Your responsibilities Provide support around critical data/information and how it is used for business processing within the organization for many systems of record, provisioning points (data warehouses, marts) or business processes. Ensure that strong controls are in place to deliver data that is fit for purpose within operations or for assigned system of record, provisioning point or business process(s). For data that is not meeting inter-relational expectations, quality expectations, or where there are insufficient controls, ensure clear requirements are defined, and remediation approaches and plans are in place to improve. Facilitates development of business data flows and control documentation as well as performs control assessment review for all high-risk reports. Ensure compliance with the enterprise data governance policy and guidance & adopt enterprise solutions. Identifies automated solutions towards Quality Controls which introduce proactive issue identification for rapid resolution at source cause. Be knowledgeable about consumers use and needs for the data delivered within the business line in support of internal and external business line functions. Support manager in development and documentation of KPIs, identification of risk and development of remediation approaches and plans. Support operations by maintaining a Data Flow Product and controls information. Support operations maintain critical data information in the Data Metrics & Definitions Product and supporting quality rules/profiling of data. Review findings with the business lines. Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position. Our requirements General •A senior individual who works independently with minimal supervision with strong analytical skills •Strong technical/functional understanding of systems and platforms, including how they are interconnected. •Strong documentation skills for systems, data flows, and governance processes. Technical •Knowledgeable in SQL across various languages (MS SQL, Oracle, DB2, etc.). •Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure, Azure Data Factory, and Databricks, or similar cloud tooling background •Familiarity with Databricks or Snowflake architecture, including data cataloging, lineage tracking, access history, and integration with governance tools like Unity Catalog / Collibra. Governance, Collaboration & Compliance •Understanding of data governance principles, including policy development, regulatory compliance, and risk documentation. •Experience working in matrixed organizations with cross-functional teams. •Communicates well across Technical and Business partners. Great problem-solving skills. •Great risk documentation skills and the ability to hold teams accountable for sustaining data governance in the work that they do.
