To understand more about us, please visit The role We are looking for a proactive and curious analyst to join our team. You will help embed intelligent insights into our products and extract value from our complex and messy data by working as part of our Marketplace and Intelligence delivery teams. Our Marketplace product is at the forefront of digitising and streamlining the contract negotiation and creation process. We are improving our processes for extracting key data points from unstructured data to speed up the contract creation process, provide customers with insights into how their contracts perform and make recommendations on how to reduce risk. Our Intelligence product enables our customers to make better decisions by delivering the right data at the right time. We are continuously enhancing our predictive models that allow customers to compare the value of different voyage options. To be successful, you will have excellent team-working skills, bring together data from a multitude of data sources that are the envy of the industry and liaise closely with data engineers and architects to make the most of our cutting-edge Azure data platform. Responsibilities Work within a delivery team to develop intelligent, data-driven product features Define and test hypotheses around product enhancing features Develop proof of concept algorithms, models and metrics Present results back to the team and stakeholders, up to and including the VP of Product Support our existing products to ensure the data is correct and complete Build and maintain reporting dashboards in Power BI Work collaboratively within a team of analysts to share and develop knowledge Work collaboratively with Data Engineering to ensure we are making the most of our data and tools Work closely with Product, Sales and the wider business to understand customer needs Champion a data-driven approach to decision making and development Skills and experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficient in a programming language (preferably SQL or Python) Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy. Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to translate technical and complex information into simple and accessible visualisations and language. Self-starter with a strong work ethic, driven and a desire to learn. Capable of independently managing workload based on priority Ability to work to tight delivery timescales and to quickly understand new information, whilst working with a remote team.
